Participants who choose to live on the farm stay in a large lakeside farmhouse. Private rooms with shared kitchen and living space are available for $160-$250 per month which includes wireless internet, electricity and firewood. Each student pays a one-time $25.00 fee for telephone service. Long distance by phone card only. The farmhouse also houses the farm library which contains a wide variety of alternative agriculture books and publications.
Participants who choose to live on the farm should be aware that co-operative living skills are essential.
Students are expected to make their own arrangements for food purchasing and preparation, and will be free to share in fresh garden produce, milk and eggs from the farm, as available. Bulk and natural food can be purchased on the island.
Couples who would like to take the Garden Programme together and live at the farm must rent two rooms. We are unable to offer family housing. Families who have a member enrolled in the garden programme rent accommodation off the farm. We regret we are unable to accommodate pets.
