POTATOES IN A BUCKET CONTEST

The goal is to grow the most weight in potatoes in a five-gallon bucket.

Here’s a few basic steps to follow:
1. Prepare a 5-gallon bucket by drilling drainage holes in base
2. Put soil/compost in base, then plant potato
3. When leaves emerge cover with more material (Use your favorite growing medium)
4. Keep watered.
5. Bring to Harvest Festival in September
6. We will tip the buckets at the same time and the most weight in spuds wins!!

The only rule is:
NO ARTIFICAIL FERTILIZERS PLEASE.
$5 ENTRY FEE – WINNER TAKES HALF
We provide the spuds; you provide the bucket and everything else.

Pick up spuds at the Linnaea Farm Seed table at the Manson’s Hall Market on Friday May 9th and 16th or Call Liz ,,,935-6370 for info or to get your spuds!
